For The 2018 Season:
We will be offering bait hunts in the following U.P. units; Amasa, Carney, Baraga, Bergland, and Gwinn.
2017 Season Update Amasa 1st period hunt success was 90%. Amasa 2nd period success was 65%. Carney came in big with 100% success in both 1st and 2nd periods with several outstanding bear.
Hound hunts available on a limited basis and are a trophy focused hunt. Hunts are focused on bears 300lbs or more, and can yield 500lbs opportunity. Hound package consist of a base price of $2200.00, plus a trophy fee of $3.50 per lb based on live weight. Credit card is required to be on file for this hunt.
Bait Hunts– Starting at $1295.00
Bear Hunting over Bait:
As soon as our season arrives, Wild Spirit Guide Service is busy in the woods all over the Upper Peninsula to provide our bait hunting clients with the perfect locations to bag the bear of their dreams. Bait hunting for bear will allow a hunter the opportunity to take in the sights, smells, and sounds of our beautiful forests and wildlife of all kinds. Pre-baited sites are placed well in advance and baited regularly to accomodate archery or firearm.
There are 3 available seasons
September 10th-14th (First Period)
* note special dates are reserved for bait-only hunting Sept. 10-14th. No hounds are able to be ran for this 5 day period.
September 15th-19th (Second Period)
September 25th-29th (Third Period)

Bobcat or Coyote Hunts With Hounds.
*Upper Peninsula winters offer great opportunities for winter enthusiast. We are blessed with extraordinary bobcat and coyote hounds. This enables hunters a high percentage chance of success. Bobcat licenses must be purchased by November,30. Call for Dan for additional details!
A 50% deposit is required to book any hunt. Deposits are non-refundable.
